Well, how much are they running?

By practicality, I mean it looks cool, but also may be one of the most uncomfortable bikes too. Its not something I woul hop on the highway and ride to work, so you are down to short trips around town. I may be wrong.

Is it the Brittish looks or the oldschool looks that you like?

If it is the oldschool looks, check out the Vulcan Drifters. They are ppretty nice to ride, so you might get more use out of it. http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/mcy/2486548700.html

I think it might just be the Brittish look combined with the vintage look and the simplicity of it overall.

That's cool. They make different styles and colors for a reason.

I really like the drifters. I wouldn't mind having one at all.

Don't do it, India is new China. Give them 10-15 years to work on their quality control and maybe they'd be okay but right now everything they produce is crap.

For $6500 you can get a slightly used Bonneville or tons of Japanese bikes. For $7500 you can get a new Bonneville or even a Speedmaster.

I'd rather have a Ural than a Royal Enfield right now.

If you're digging the British/vintage look then look into the Triumph Bonnevilles and Thruxtons. Nifty, old-school looks, new running gear.

Thruxton is a Bonneville, as is an America, Scrambler and the Speedmaster. All cool bikes, very cheap and fairly reliable.

Ah, gotcha. I assumed they were all closely related, didn't know for sure though.

I bought a 2001 Royal Enfield used a few years ago. It was gutless and I never rode it. I hope the build-quality has gone up since then!
