Sounds like a bunch of sportbikes riding too fast and crashed into a Harley. Shitty deal. Glad the Harley rider wasn't hurt worse. Sucks that dude killed his friend/fellow rider.

Amazing. Not surprising, but amazing. One of the comments:
"I arrived at the scene TWO minutes after it happened last night as my husband had just picked me up at the airport. My husband pulled over and went to offer aid to one of the Hispanic racing riders and I offered aid to the Harley rider. What I know is this: According to the Harley rider, he was minding his own business when this group of speeding riders came up to him and started messing with him. They were playing road games and it didn't end well, obviously. All of the racing bikes that did not wreck, left the scene immediately. My husband speaks Spanish and overheard the conversations. These riders wanted out of their as they knew they would be in trouble for stolen bikes, speeding and playing road games. My husband had to literally "sit" on the Hispanic rider to get him to stay because he wanted to flee the scene, but he was very badly injured and needed medical help (broken bones, road rash and such.) I was with the lone Harley rider all the way up until he was taken to the hospital and have spoken to his wife this morning and am happy to hear that he is doing very well and only has a scratch (he landed in the grass versus the other guys landed on the pavement.) I am saddened to hear that two of the Hispanic riders have passed (according to the news this morning.) You play, you pay."sigpicComment

Not really though, cause I rarely ride my stunt bike, and when I do, it's not in those large local groups. I ride solo 95% of the time.Comment

Well I just saw the story on the news and isn't it just wonderful news that these stupid fucking riders just made even MORE people and cops hate ALL sportbike riders and just raises the odds even MORE that they will fuck with and harass ALL of us who don't act like total fucking douchebags. I'm VERY happy the two assholes died...I just wish more of them had crashed and burned. Just amazing that these stupid fucks KEEP doing this shit even with all the recent press. Bring on the flames all you supporters of this stupidity...I need a good tan!!!!

This arguement is pretty useless.
The bottom line here is people are doing stupid shit at this current time, the past or what they may have done doesn't mean anything. The sportbike rider seems to be in the spotlight for doing stupid shit lately. (notice I didn't say stunting or highway closures)
That in itself is enough to cause anomisity towards the sportbike group. Lets face it I can see why they are and if I never touched a bike I would probably be in the same group of hatred. We all do it, against Asian drivers, old people, people on cell phones etc. This is no different. It is the riders who are making the image, not everyone else. Does it suck for those of us who just like to ride and ocassionally get on it? Sure.
