          I agree. That's why i ride late night

          I would get up early for a long ride. i.e 67 to stephenville for some bbq....

          if yall like twisties, there are some nicely paved farm roads around glen rose with some awesome elevation changes.

              hah! i'm never dragging knee on the street because i'm wearing jeans..

              on familiar roads, i push the pace, dark or not.

              on unfamiliar roads, i ride at about 50% at night, and obviously faster if i can see more than 50yds in front of me.

                    you werent. the downside was, you could take turns at double the speed I could, so I would drag a floorboard around the turns, then haul ass to catch back up. At one point on 157, I touched 110 trying to close the gap with you guys.
