  • Group Ride This Weekend (06/19/11)

Tyler (mach1) and I are planning a ride this weekend. The plan is to leave Arlington around 7am if anyone wants to go. We can meet at the QT off I20 and Bowen in Arlington. Please be there by 7:15am because we will be rolling out no later than 7:30am b/c of time constraints. We will be running out to Venus and riding some twisties out that way. I have to be back to Arlington by 11am so its gonna be a short ride, but fun nonetheless.

If you need to contact me, my cell is 817 729 2926.

Cool. We definitely aren't trying to race. Just get out for a bit and have a little fun. The pace will be pretty reasonable.

I'm not really worried about the pace being too bad, I just don't like going to ride and get rolled out on. I can keep up to a point, but about 65 is as fast as I LiKE going. I know the area pretty well, so I'm not worried.

I wish, though I doubt it.

I ordered the part and then they called and said it wasn't in stock. If I wanted to wait it would be till end of month. They said I could ship mine to them and have it rebuilt in 7-10 days. I shipped it last Friday and I think they finally got it yesterday.

Feels like it's been way to long without a bike

Take one for the team. We will be back early. You could easily catch a mid day nap if you don't have anything else going!

Dude I feel your pain. I had to replace mine last month. Its not as easy on a TLR as it is on a regular sport bike. I have 3 sprockets in the cover I have to be weary of, as well as the stator.

Ouch, yea mine was pretty simple. Open up tank, remove airbox, unclip connection, unscrew about 8 screws, remove cover, remove 3 screws that hold stator, remove stator.

The work is the easy part though, the crappy thing is waiting for parts!

I called everyone around here and no one had one in stock, so I went ahead with the cheaper option to have mine rebuilt.

Least you're back on the road! Hoping to be able to ride with you guys soon.

I hear ya man. The wiring was a bitch in itself!! I ordered mine through ebay. Since so many companies deal through them now... it was easy to get it quickly. I to hope to hook up with you guys soon once we can all arrange our schedules to have a day of riding.
