I had to peel out. I think I've got a loose battery connection and the bike kept cutting out on me.

Tighten it up and battery with a voltmeter. Rectifier and stator issues seems to be going around.

Word. I was having fun except for when the bike kept cutting out. I limped home after my little stop. It was real bad towards the end. Every little bumped would cause it to cut out. Pulled the seat and sure enough... the positive cable was loose at the battery post. I guess thats a V twin for you! It rattles the shit out of everything lol.

I'll be good to go next time!

I have a couple of TLR's and never had that issue. I think it was just a freak occurance on your bike. Maybe the person you bought it from did some last minute maintenance and forgot to tighten it up. Anyway, glad you found the issue quickly. I check everything anyway about once a month as far as loose bolts and the such just in case.

After doing some reading this morning, a lot of guys have issues with all kinds of things coming loose on these bikes. I never had any issues on the SV650's that I owned, but apparently the RC's are known for rattling shit loose pretty regularly. Basically if you go over the bike real good once a month, then there shouldn't be any issues. I keep my bikes pretty clean anyways so I'll be all over it every week that I ride it. I'll keep a close eye on everything!

Word. I've used loctite to secure bar ends before so this might be a good solution.
