Good to know though, what about on the 08/09 750? Same thing apply?
yes, the 750 cams are pretty lame, you also want 06-07 intake cams in all 08 and up engines as they took about .020" lift away on the intake side. 06/07 600 exahaust is roughly .317" intake .330"ish

750's have .290" exhaust and somthing close to the 600 exhaust cam on the intake side.

oh, and if you wanna convert to methanol, get 2 sets of upper nozzles from the 06/07 600s and 750's

Kyle, I have a 07 750 you can test ride.

I really do like my bike. I had the K4GSXR600 and upgraded to this 750.

              1. The riding position is much more comfortable than my old bike, it's aggressive, but you are not placing all your weight on your wrists.
              2. The bike feels light. Just standing it upright and putting weight on either leg... it feels a lot lighter than my old bike.
              3. Best of both worlds. I absolutely rape a 600 on a straight line, but have no issues hitting some farm roads and keeping up in the turns.
              4. If you wanted to track it, it will be nice to have the extra power, but you won't totally annihilate the tires like you would on a 1000.
              5. It looks great!

Apparently there are some charging issues with these bikes. I bought mine with 4300 and have only put 700 or so miles on it. It left me stranded due to a dead battery and I had to get a battery to get home. It's still not charging correctly and I changed the rectifier. Still not charging! Stator is on the way.

Pull the seat off before you purchase and test with a voltmeter to make sure the voltage is spiking up when giving it a little throttle.

If we are talking about motorcycle engines, you will loose that bet......

If the voltage spikes with revs, then the regulator/rectifier is not working as it should.

It should increase quickly within certain perimeters. To me, that's spiking.

Mine goes up in increments of 1/100ths and then stops increasing after a certain point, all below 12 volts.

                    My bike is jacked up!

It's ride able as I have the bike on a tender, but I sure wouldn't go on a couple hour ride, lol.

They also have weird idle/throttle response issues related to some sensors on the throttle bodies.

While I don't know Grape, just from reading his posts it's clear he's not just some $15/hr stealership wrench monkey.
