  • I can't believe it, I bought a Harley...

Got a deal I couldn't pass up. Nothing special. 2006 HD Softail Classic. Hasn't been started in over a year, but ran good when it was put up. My buddy had a kid and doesn't ride anymore, and he wanted out of the payment.

Gonna clean it up real good tomorrow, change all the fluids and maybe look at some different bars and a few chrome bits. Just gonna enjoy riding it for a while.

    Pics later, if anyone cares.

    I still can't fucking believe I own a Harley...

Here is a crappy cell phone pic. Washed away the 1.5yrs of dirt and am putting together a plan for it. I'm gonna lower it front and rear, replace the seat with something more sleek, go with a 21" front tire, drag bars and remove the blinkers/mirrors. Might do some chrome bits here and there, might not. It has a 200/55R/17 rear tire, so I'm wondering if it can run a sportbike tire. I might not want to though..the stock 200mm looks pretty fat/aggressive back there as it is.

The polished aluminum has been baaadly neglected, so when I'm replacing the rear tire, I'm going to polish the rim back up real nice and hit the rocker box covers and other small bits with some Mothers and a PowerBall.

shit i would just clean it up and ride the shit out of it.
WTH is wrong with that anyway?
the only thing better than a good deal is to use that shit up until it's completely obliterated.

that's the biggest damn problem with Harley ppl as it is. They're a bunch of fucking posers who hardly ride. Problem solved , don't join them by trying to make it all perfect.
Flip them off while you ride by their cars or 'harley D' trucks , lol!

Jason I am disappointed. At least Cody jinks can keep up with you now. Slow harleys, converting gas into noise. Lol.

Oh, this thing isn't going to be a chrome show piece, but I do want to give it a little bit of personality. Just a few tastefull touches.

Beefed88 - What up man? This actually IS Cody's bike! He hasn't ridden it since his daughter came along and in the process of helping him get rid of it, I decided that I'd hang onto it. I'm having my annual BBQ this Sunday. Cody is playing again, and it promises to be a big time. PM me if you wanna come through. I wanna see pics of my old Si to!!!

I can commit now to a wheelie pic (maybe not balance point, but a legit wheelie), but the only way this thing is going to stoppie is if I broadside a car, fast. It's something like 800lbs, and the contact patch on the front tire is tiny...lol.
