Old riding bud left me a vm lastnight "Dude some kid in shorts and no helmet almost wrecked his bike doing a burnout, he's going to crash tonight!"

Called me at lunch today to say they saw the kid's bike embedded into a car minutes after leaving me that message and he was laying motionless against the curb. Said people were there helping and he could hear the sirens in the distance so he didn't hang around.

Said the kid was getting wasted at the bar prior, khaki shorts, t-shirt, sunglasses on his head, no gear. He ran a stop-sign at speed and nailed a car.

Said he didn't even look 25. Bike still had dealer tags.

ANY amount of alcohol on ANY bike is a bad bad idea. You don't have as much experience or muscle memory on a bike as you do in a car and your senses are for more important. Young guy + shots + sportbike - gear = russian roulette

Stay safe, hope the kid is going to be okay.

Said the burnout was getting away from him, falling to the side, lurching forward. If you're too fucked up to do a burnout in a parking lot with your feet down that should have let him know to take it e-a-s-y once he got on the street.

Drunk, at night, no lid, he probably never even saw the car. Friend said the hit on the car looked bad, hope the passengers are okay too.

I'm fairly certain that if this was a fatality accident, that family was notified that night.

Damn, I hate seeing riders like that out on the street. Not only is it insanely dangerous but it gives the rest of us a bad name.

Damn, that sucks. That's a head injury, back injury, and broken collarbone at the least, if not a fatality. Hope he lives long enough to learn his lesson and so others can learn from him.

I've never ridden out to a place where I know I'll be drinking. I've probably had, at most, 2-3 beers and ridden, but never anymore.

But I can smoke a big fatty and kill it on either my streetbike or dirtbike. I don't do it often, but have done so recently and rode like a champ. True story.

Where did this happen?

Near 121/Preston - kid was having drinks at 3rd Bass in Frisco, new zx-6 with paper plate.

They didn't know he was riding when they saw him in the bar, no helmet etc. Just recognized him once he was failing at the burnout as the kid doing shots at the bar.
