We rode last week. It was not too bad. Of course I dont get wet on my ski unless I want to(most of the time).

Although I do wear my street bike helmet now during this time of the year. Got into a dog fight with a duck. I won, hitting a duck in the chest at 70+mph will grab your attention.

Please explain the difference between PWC, waverunner, jet ski etc. I always thought waverunner you sat down and jet ski you stood up. I know nothing about these and when I craigslist search on one of the keywords above I get pictures that contradict what I thought they were.

Anyone wanna shed some light for this newb?

pwc- personnel water craft, or just a general term

Waverunner- was a name yamaha gave there watercraft early on and it just stuck, kinda like everyone that refers to them as sea doos.

Jetski- was what Kawasaki used back when the stand ups came around in 77 era.

as far as craigslist goes ya just gotta search it all to find what you want.

It's certainly not an easy sport.. let me see if i can find some of the crazy ocean guys rocking double back flips and shit.

I hear ya. It slows down a lot during the winter, so i actually get to talk to people about skis that know what they're talking about.
