Fixing a dash pad.

Have any of you guys had success fixing a dash pad?

I have a 85 Chevy K5 with a FUBAR'd dash and do not see myself spending 350-400 bucks for a replacement dash. I have been looking for other options and came across this video but I have never attempted to do anything with bondo fiberglass etc..

Does this seem like a legit fix? Can anyone name any of the product used in the vid?

Hey thanks soap, that's the cheapest I have seen them. Still over 200 bucks with tax and shipping. Might have to bite the bullet and order it.
