Duties
Without direct supervision, operates with a high degree of skill, all varieties of heavy road construction equipment including road graders, maintainers, dozer's, grade-alls, front end loaders, tractors and trailers, etc. Performs varied and complex construction and maintenance tasks; may assist mechanic in performing repairs on equipment. Performs other related duties as required such as paving, set-up, level up, oiling, mowing, patching, culvert repair and installation, and trash pick-up.
Experience
Three years experience in heavy equipment operation (or equivalent education and experience.)
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Special Requirements
Licensed as a class "B" commercial operator in the State of Texas. (Class "A" preferred)
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others.
