ASE double master tech looking for weekend work.

Im trying to find a shop to work at on Saturdays preferably in or near Fort Worth but Ill travel if the money is good. I specialise in air conditioning but I can work on anything automotive, heavy equipment, or class 8 truck. I have 30+ certifications(automotive and truck) and there's plenty of board members that can give testimonials if needed.

Dont man. That's awesome! If you ever wan to borrow the Mitchell Truck study guides let me know. Iv got both automotive and truck stud guide sets.
Fyi, since you've already passed the auto you could take the (T1, T6, T7)Truck a/c, electrical, and heavy duty gasoline engine and pass it with no problem. Their pretty much the same test as the auto.
I have 16 ASE's and the rest of my cert's are from Ford, GM, or parts manufactures.

I just dont have the time to do it on the week nights. I work in the oilfield Mon-Fri. I never know if Im going to get off of work at a decent hour or not. Sometimes I get off around 6 and sometimes 10-11. I also go to class 3 nights a week after work(if I get off in time) so my schedule is pretty tight.

I quite counting non ASE after 20 Because Barr International had class's about every other week Not to mention when abs came out I had to take classes on just about ever model.
then I got into the computer parts and OMG the class's you have to take on them.
I was So glad when OBDII came out made it easyer to go from car to car.
Heavy truck on the other hand shew those can get crazy.
The Big one I took was for My EPA cert for Type Universal.
That was a Long ass test.
(not to be mistaken for the Auto motive EPA cert That one was a cake walk)

How come your working oil fields now and not on truck?
I got out because of My back couldn't handle the heavy work day in and out any more with 3 ruptured disk.

I worked for the city of fort worth before the oil field. I quit because of the looming rumours of the city loosing it's equipment service contract to an outside company(which turned out to be true).
I still work on engines as a mechanic I just work on natural gas compressors now. More money, more perks, better retirement than anywhere Iv even heard of, and better benefits than any other shop. But every little bit helps so hopefully I can find a side job. I use to get alot of side work off of the board that made me plenty of extra cash but since the board swapped over my side jobs have gotten pretty slim.

I think the companies name was "First response". City took bids last year. All the mechanics didnt know if they were gonna even have a job for 1 1/2 years until Oct 1 2010. The the city told them that equipment services department(city ran) had another year but they didnt know if there was going to be an esd department after Oct 1 2011. Bunch of crap. Hey guys, just sit around and wait 2-3 years to see if you'll have a job or not.
