American Airlines hiring aircraft mechanics

I've heard through the grapevine that American Airlines is hiring Aircraft Mechanics. I have been told that if you go to the Alliance airport hangar, ask for the HR department at the gate and they will escort you in to apply. I understand the pay scale starts at $20, goes to $32 progressively over the next 5 years.

Beyond this, I have no other info. I am not associated in any way, but my info is verified. I bet there is more info online, I have not looked.

as far as I know that pool has already closed, I put in for it but haven't heard anything yet. Good time for A&P at the moment I have apps in at fedex and delta as well.

I guess that's possible, a friend of mine works out at Alliance said they were hiring off the street for multiple locations. He didn't say how long it would be open though.

Check online, or call out there first. I'd hate for you to be mad at me for a wasted trip if they aren't accepting aps any more.
