Anyone looking to get in to overseas contracting work? I don't have the exact posting yet but if you are interested I can push your resume to the hiring manager sitting right next to me.
It is a Labor General Foreman job in Agadez, Niger working for Fluor. You will be escorting locals cleaning tents, latrines, showers, picking up trash cans, etc. Basic labor work but the locals do the work, you just supervise. Anything the site manager wants to have done. We work 10 hrs a day 7 days a week.
It isn't a high paying contract job BUT it is your foot in the door. Best I can calculate puts the job around $83k after salary, paid leave, and retention bonuses.
Any resume can get you this job.
The cons: you will live in a tent, in sub sahara Africa. Food sucks. Mail every 2-3 weeks.
