I remember doing a callback to one of my customers. After I made sure his car was fixed, he asked since I took a couple minutes of his time, if I minded if he took a couple of mine. What a goddamned mistake that was. He talked about this exact thing for more than 30 minutes. The first thing he said was "this is not a pyramid scheme." It's kinda like when somebody says "I don't mean to sound racist." and then says the most biggoted shit you've ever heard.

Some of them are intelligent.. very intelligent.. double..triple, college graduates.. and they lay down an agenda in front of you talking about global demand, supply, critical mass etc. But all the smart talk ends up being the "pyramid scam" no matter how you look at it. On top of buying the kit, they later try and sell you motivational dvds.. geeze..really?! But hey, its not for everyone but someone on here may hit the green light with this.. good luck!

I don't work for Stream/Ignite but I know this gig can work. As crazy as it sounds, it CAN work and make you money. I think the key is to hang in there and build your network. Most consultants will stay in it long enough to get their money back, by that time, they've already signed up quite a few people that make the person above them more money. You have to hang in there and build your network. Trust me...the more you build you're network, the more you make. I know for a fact that some consultants make FAR over 6 figures...but they also have other consultants below them that contribute to that. Granted, those that are making the most are the ones that got in it from the beginning, but it's still possible to make a lot of money.

The barber shop I go to was trying to get me to do this with an electricity provider back before Thanksgiving. Said his son had been laid off at his job and he was going to do this full time because he could make a lot of money but it took a month or so for it to really take off. I told him I would look at it, and I did, but decided my current .09/kWh contract was worth more than switching to save like .001/kWh, plus pay a contract penalty charge with StarTex to break my contract. So one day last week I was getting my hair cut at the same barber shop and I happened to remember this and asked the guy how his son was doing with his electricity venture and he said he was doing horrible, and hated it. Said he got a bunch of people on board and was "selling" but not making jack shit in return. He said now looking back on it, it would take him years in order to really get enough people to make it worth his while, just like Mary Kay and other like programs. Lots of time invested for very little return.

Yeah, there are always ups & downs for anything you may do. I have found that it has been my experience those of us that have an outgoing personality...with good relationships with both family and friends really take off on this. I am not here to say that only people with this type of personality would be successful...I am merely stating that those of us that have family and/or friends that look up to us and have a good respect for you will listen to what you have to offer. I currently have 6 associates under me which of them...3 produce and generate approximately 60% of my income. You only need a few of those "producers" and you can make a killing by doing nothing. Again, as I have stated before...you get what you put in. If you expect to be spoon fed and make some dough, you will go hungry.

Also, another benefit here is those that work with me...I (myself) and others help you out to get started. Reason being is simple: You dont make money, neither do I.

Since I started working at my current place, another retail electricity provider, I've wondered how long this type of MLM will last. History has proven that eventually the pyramid-style compensation will fail but so far this company has been doing great and has been paying out a lot of money to consultants.

                <------not a consultant

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.
