Like I said you contribute "nothing" to this board. This post was about helping guys get a job because they haven't been able to find anything. I can sleep real good at night knowing that 2 guys here has a strong career, the best medical for there family, and a retirement that is golden. 1 more member lined up possibly for the next hiring class in October if I can get him in.

Trust me if you don't have someone vouching for you. You will not get hired. The problem is everyone that works on the railroad has a brother, uncle, cousin, or friend that needs a job and they have the hiring managers ear. Nepotism runs rampant on the Railroad. We have entire families were every male member of the family works for the railroad. The biggest family in my area has 11 people that work for the railroad.

I don't doubt it helps considerably to have an ally, but the prospect does have to show some initiative and skills to get hired in the first place, no matter what your chosen career field.

LOL, ur one funny kid. It helps? I went to highschool with the hiring manager. If I put ur name in it is a done deal. As far as passing all the tests that is up to the person but if UP if paying you a grand per week to go to school I would hope u could pass.

Hey King, do me a favor. Get off my post. I am trying to get members jobs. Do you have a problem with that? Is that a lot to ask from someone that contributes nothing to this board?

If, as you say, interested members are PM'ing you and vice versa for the really useful application information, my posts in this thread have no impact on your efforts to get members jobs. Since this is a public forum, deal with it and be ready to accept criticism when you step off into posting adolescent derogatory statements about groups of people, people who obviously intimidate you.

I have more than 8 post, I never got them transferred here from the old site. Been a "member" to the dfwstang crew since 2002.

Speaking of PM's, the OP sent me one which I promptly deleted.....unread....and I wasn't even looking for a job as a train driver, LOL. Maybe that's my sign that I'm on the fast track for a second career with great pay & benefits in railroading, after a proper referral from an insider of course.

Perhaps he'll put his PM here in the open forum instead, where no doubt it should have been posted in the first place. That would be awesome!
