That's why I asked if you had a start date, from final interview til actual start date took over a month, they will probably move a little quicker with your bunch due to electricians being in high demand.

Well I filled out the online app on 8/22 and got a call on 8/25 saying I was invited to a hiring session on 8/29. Took the test, did the interview, and got the offer all on 8/29. Last I heard they had 6 spots left open for diesel electrician.

Depending on your experience it can go either way. Nothing really you can study to help out on the test. Most of the test is all stuff anyone working in the electronic field should know. Ac/dc servos, motors, dc drives, figuring out voltage drop through resistors on a series and a parallel circuit
