Straight from the salary/benefits page. Step raises are every 2 years IIRC. Bargaining for the next contract starts soon. If I can find a step schedule I'll post it.
Salary & BenefitsSalary
$3,114 monthly while in training
$4,069 monthly upon graduation
In addition to this base pay:
LONGEVITY PAY: $4 per month times the number of years of service, up to 25 years.
INCENTIVE PAY: $60 per month for associate degree, or $120 per month as a college graduate, following one or more years of service after commissioned, (college degree must be in related areas); or $30 per month for intermediate certificate, or $60 per month for advanced certificate, State of Texas Certification (Texas Commission of Law Enforcement Standards and Education).
COURT PAY: If you are required to appear in court on your time, you receive overtime pay.
BILINGUAL INCENTIVE PAY: Up to $125 per month upon successful completion on Language Proficiency.
UNIFORM ALLOWANCE: $325.00 per yea

PROMOTIONS: Promotions are granted on basis of competitive Civil Service examination.
FRINGE BENEFITS:
