  • Bermuda lawn treatments?

I want to try some different things this year with my yard as all the typical stuff has only yielded so-so results.

Am interested in the aeration that someone posted about but also curious about lime treatments? When we first moved in, we had Tru-Green give us a quote and the first thing they suggested was a "lime" treatment. Anyone know about this?

Are you having prolems? From my experience, Bermuda is like a weed and pretty much grows anywhere there's sun. Water and sun, and the shit goes nuts. I've hydromulched on sidewalks and seen that stuff grow on concrete.

I have an acre lot fully irrigated with 12 zones. I have sodded about 1/3 of it. I dont have problems getting it to grow, the problem is getting uniformity.

Take soil samples and send them into the county. They will tell you what you're lacking and if lime (lyme?) treatments will help.

Mike, what kind of quote are you getting from Tru-Green? I have a 1.3acre lot and even looking at google earth I can tell I have the worst lawn in the neighborhood.

My problem is that I am not home to deal with it and my yard guy now does not seem to be making any headway on the brown spots and weeds even after I get bills for random fertilizer treatments.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I forget as we had them come out when we first purchased the home. I want to say it was $1200-$1400 for the year and included six visits and a lime treatment. And it is lime btw. Apparently used on lawns with no grass on the surface which was the case before I blew my load on the 29 palletes of sod.

Where can I find more info on this?
