anyone good at recognizing plants?

looking to do some landscape in our backyard... wife and i like this look and curious if anyone knows what some of these plants are... the stuff in front is monkey grass or something like that right? I know the big things are palm trees, but what are the other green and purple things?

Might be easier to just print the pictures and take them to like a Lowe's, Home Depot, etc, and ask them and have them show you what they have.

Hard to tell from pics- they are all tropical's. The red stuff looks to be Crotons

The only i know that those are banana trees on the right.
