Bathroom Sink Hoses

I’ve had an issue for a while with sulfur smell in my master bathroom sinks and utility room sink. My builder isn’t interested in correcting the issue for me, so I am attempting to replace a couple supply lines under the sinks to see if it helps.

Has anyone successfully removed these types of fittings?



I’m familiar with the special tool needed to remove Sharkbite brand fittings as these are the type I am replacing these with.

I've never removed that type, but why do you think that will help with the smell?

I doubt that will fix any smells

I have a neighbor that had theirs replaced and the smell was eliminated.

It looks like that method may damage the PEX piping. I may just call a plumber and have them replace all the hoses.

You are less likely to have an odor with the current ones than the other one. I had to replace my steel braided ones becaise my well water reacted with the rubber in them.

Just cut it off flush with the back of that thing. Plenty of room for a sharkbite on there.
