I think it depends on color. I like subway tiles as long as they are white, and the kitchen has to match Any other color, I'm out. I like the ones Jerm used as they are smaller than the standard 3" x 5".

I suggest under cabinet outlets as well. Much cleaner.

Yeah. Both of our bathrooms have the old single unit fiberglass showers.

Here is our kitchen with inverse beveled subway tiles

            And after hardware install

Here is the matching bench seat in the breakfast nook.

It took us a year and a half to figure out how to optimize the space. It still doesn't quite meet our needs, but we did everything we could with it!

I would have never thought about building that bench. It looks good and flows with everything. Good job man.

                    Here's what I started with.

And here is where I'm at today. Still need kitchen countertops and all the little things.

Nice! Its great watching these things transform.

The bench just made sense after being here for a year. Much easier that chairs, and allows for more seating. The cabinet company botched it and I was passed my deadline and my tile guy was on site waiting to get started. So we made some on site modifications and rolled on. I'm still pissed about it, but what is done is done.
