A little while ago my old motion sensing halogen flood light lighting up the driveway bit the dust, so I replaced it with a dusk to dawn LED model. I was really impressed with the light output. The motion sensing porch light works only when a heard of elephants walk by, so I finally decided enough is enough, and got an LED dusk to dawn replacement. Fucking A, it is really bright! Crappy pic, but you get the idea.
Tomorrow I am going to replace the bulb in the over door light fixture with an LED yellow bulb and just leave it on 24/7. $6 for a bulb, hardly use any electricity versus spending over $50 for a decent new LED fixture. Figure I'll move before I spend more on the electricity to leave it powered on all the time, than buying a new fixture.
This is the fixture I got on Amazon. Heard Costco sold them a little cheaper, but I just went ahead and ordered it from Amazon.
