On my D.E. filter, when I pull my push/pull valve open to,backwash, it sends dirty water back into my pump. What could cause this?

If it is with the pump not running it is normal. An excessive amount of drain back with the pump off can be caused by an air leak that allows the water in the filter to drain down very quickly.Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein. -
Yeah, pump not running. Was quiet a bit of backflush. Also my push/pull has gotten stiff and it would pop up when I pushed it back,down. Not it does,not pop up. Any,thought on that as well.Comment
