Bought a Chainsaw Today

It was between this and a Husqvarna, which I understand is basically like the Ford/Chevy thing. I almost went with a Husqvarna, because I could have ordered it through Amazon, but I didn't care much for the case they make for them.

Be glad you didn't get the Husqvarna. The little one we have is a Husvarna and that piece of shit never wants to run. There really is nothing else on the market that runs as reliably as a Stihl.

I got the case, some bar oil, and some synthetic oil to mix with gas. They have a deal running right now where you get a two year warranty instead of one when you buy the oil and stuff with it at the same time, so I did that.

That's pretty standard for Stihl. Was the same when I bought the 291 3 years ago and the same when Mel bought my weedeater 4 years ago.

I bought a new Stihl farm boss last year. I absolutely effing hate the easy start bullshit. That damn saw floods so easy. I've flooded it every time I've used it. Once I'm past that,its great.

Yeah Ford/Chevy thing, I have a Husqavarna (sp?) for 4-5 years now no issues with moderate use. I'd recommend them, but you're not the only one I've heard complain about them. Neighbor has one too, same luck as me.
