  • RaceDeck or GarageDeck flooring tiles

Has anyone here done snap together garage flooring tiles such as RaceDeck and/or GarageDeck? Can you give me your experience? How durable have they been? Is there anything you'd do differently?

I've been redoing my garage and I'm ready to pull the trigger on something to make the floor look a lot better.

Please post pics if you've got them...

    Thanks

I wanted to go with race deck up until the talk of water and dirt getting under it. Pulling in a wet vehicle from rain or snow just didn't seem appealing it to me so I went with painted floor. Easy clean up and can just hose out.

Ditto. How do you clean things up? I guess if this is a show only garage maybe.

Garage journal is the place for this for sure. Go there and research.

I have gladiator floor tiles in my garage. Upsides; look great, easy install, clean up easily. Downsides; can be a little slippery, can be scratched or dented, you can't put a jackstand on them.

Overall I am very happy with them. I painted the floor and it looked good for a few years but I like the tiles 10x more.

Where are you in argyle bmc? I cut quare pieces of plywood to put under the jack stands so it wouldn't scratch or chip the floor.

I have racedeck that's about 15 years old. It's kinda beat up but I still get compliments on it. Just make sure you don't walk on it in socks because it will light your ass up when you touch metal.

have weathertech that i got for a good deal, use jackstands on them all the time no problems.

Cleaning is easy with a hose since they have the lines underneath it ( i hardly clean mine though lol )

i've got enough boxes to do a 3 maybe a 4 car garage left, haven't tried to sell them in a while just use them as a shelf currently. blue black color. if that interests you i'll make you a great deal on them

If my floor wasn't effed due to movement, I'd interested. I've got a slab on grade from the 80's with some decent cracking/movement going on

Nice, David (whom I still havent met lol) and I are just down the street in Country Lakes.

If I remember correctly Its just as expensive to do a race deck floor as it is to do a good quality paint on the floors. The thing with the tile that I wanted was to do a design on one side where the Cobra rest.
