  • Need my kitchen cabinets painted

Looking for recommendations on people who have worked on your cabinets as well. I have all white cabinets, they've been chipped and lots of stains on them over the years. Needing someone to come in, rough them up, tape off/plastic up the kitchen and spray away.

Attached is a photo for informational purposes.

I have a green and red also! Group orgy later?

Edit.. I did our last kitchen and rolled them. Got the primer and paint from Sherwin Williams. It was a very tedious job, but they looked great afterwards. I went from pickled or something like that to white.

Latex or Oil based? Paint, not for the orgy, we can discuss that later.

Did you have any roll/brush marks? Wife wants them like I did our bathrooms. I sprayed latex white with a cheap HVLP, but when I tried on my kitchen, I was just getting overspray all over the counters and floor despite plastic and tape.

I have no problem sanding/rolling if it gives it a smooth look.

It was a variant of this.

No roll or brush markings and I didn't thin the paint either. I used foam brushes where I couldn't roll. Wood filler and caulk to hide blemishes. I'll look for an up close picture if I have one later today.

I couldn't imagine dealing with oil base paint for the whole kitchen, that shit stinks to all hell.

Anybody just replace doors on your cabinets? Ours are stained and from the 80's so I'd like to save some time and just slap new better looking doors and hinges on. Any places besides lowes or homedepot to get doors?

The problem with just doing the doors is getting them stained to match.

There are places on-line where you can order doors of different styles. Not sure on the accuracy when they arrive though.
