Concrete slab?
You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.Tags: None

For $250, I'd let a pro do it. If you already had all the stuff, then it may work. By the time you rent a mixer, buy concrete, steel, dig it up and set your form-boards, you won't save that much. It would take you a day, and a pro could do it in a couple of hours.

I would split the pad into (2) 4'x8' sections and use a wheel barrow to mix up sack concrete and do (1) 4'x8' side the first day and the other 4'x8' side the second day. We're only talking about a total of 40 bags at $3.xx/bag, plus $40ish in material.

I'm doing a 12 x12 pad now which is about 1.7 yards of concrete. I can't find anyone to touch it for less than $500 and I have it leveled, formed, and re-barred. Most concrete companies had a 4 yard min on bringing a truck out.
I decided to get the little 1 yard trailers at $130 and then level it myself.

Im with these guys and would do it myself...kind of.
I would get the ground ready, put up the forms, and go to my local concrete place buy premixed concrete. They have trailers that hold 1-2yards that you can rent. Back that thing up and dump it in the form. This sounds like a 1 yard job. 8'x10'x.333 = 26.64cu ft.
Mixing is the part that sucks. Forms are easy, little rebar and a 10' 2x4 to screed it.
