I have pretty well resolved to re-tiling my kitchen myself. I did it the first time but my back has gotten a bit worse since then and I was hoping to not take the chance, however, everyone is either unavailable when I need them, or wanting $3+/ft to lay it.

What tile leveling system have you guys used? I'm hearing horrible reviews of the lash system from QEP at home depot due to the curved base.

A lot of sites have great reviews of the Raimondi system, but damn $55-70 just for the pliers for a one time job sucks.

I will be laying 12x24 porcelain tiles.

Anyone on the East side (Mesquite area) used the Raimondi and wouldn't mind letting me borrow their pliers for a few days?

I used the tornado system and didnt like it. When you twist the rings on, the tiles move due to the plastic T flexing. The best system is the MLT system but its horribly expensive. Check out Saldiblasi on youtube. He uses the QEP looking system with the triangles all the time.
