Shop lights installed now in the garage are just regular plug in shop lights that they cut the plug and hard wired it and the wire connection is on the outside of the ceiling. My question is installing an actuall shop light in the garage, Do I need the juntion box on the inside of a wall or can I have it on the outside of a wall or ceiling FOR CODE purposes?

Junction box has to be exposed for access or there must be some other means of full access (it cannot be sheetrocked or paneled over).Originally posted by lincolnboy View Post
