Has anyone tried the Scotts EZseed Turf Builder. I'm thinking about trying this stuff on a bald spot I have in my lawn. The spot is about 3/3 feet big and just looks bad.

            Feed the soil!

Weeds are an indicator of poor soil fertility.
Once established, an organic program is less trouble, work and less expensive than a chemical program. If you have pets, there will be less fleas, ticks and ants.

            Garden-Ville s a good line to use. http://www.garden-ville.com/
Ft Worth and Mid-city people can get everything needed at Marshall Grain

Suståne is an excellent long lasting product.

Yes, I used it to seed my entire lawn last year. Worked great, germinated in about 10 days IIRC.

I'd be more interested in why you have a bald spot, however. Low light? Large tree cover? If not, you could have too much clay in that one spot, or, you could have a fungus that killed whatever was there. I'd get the soil tested first, before you go throwing money at a problem.

at the less expensive part, and the less trouble part and the makes grass grow better part, guess thats why all golf courses use it. yeah i know some are "trying" but theres a reason 99% are not

My parents have a neighbor that went the organic route. If he wasn't an old man, my Dad probably would have killed him. His yard stunk bad. Like Galveston beaches after oil spill bad. He used fish mulch, and who knows what else. That shit smelled horrid.

And LOL @ ANYTHING organic being cheaper than chemicals.

Quite a few golf courses use an organic program.

If it doesn't make things grow better, explain why I had hay and no one else did when we had the drought in 95?

Just because you don't know about it or use it, doesn't mean that it doesn't work.

Dude, it's called Fish Mulch. Common fucking sense would tell you what the ingredients are. Add in Texas heat, and humidity, and voila. Homedude is a retired engineer from Exxon, and does nothing but listen and call in to Neil Sperry all day. I'm certain he knew exactly what he was doing. If you've ever listened with regularity, you'd know him as "Ed from Irving". He's been calling in daily for decades.

Don't listen to Sperry. He used to use a mix of organics and chemicals. I have no idea what he does now.

                                Fish mulch or fish EMULSION?

Either way it smells if not diluted properly. I've used it, but added dried molasses.
