We've had a free standing plastic trash can with a flip top lid for a long time. To me it's an eyesore and the lid broke yesterday. I've liked the idea of having a small can in a cabinet, outta sight, I'm just not sure how practical a small can is. So, I'm looking for ideas. What's your can situation?

What's your inside trash can look like?

First house we bought had a trash compactor in it already, and I loved it! When we built this house, had one added to the build. I don't think I'd like a house with a kitchen trash can now! 18 years with a compactor FTW!
Only thing you have to remember, if you can't leave it on the counter for 5 days and it will smell, don't throw it in the compactor. I can go 3 weeks usually before having to change it. We do have a small trash can in the laundry room, which is next to the garage, so anything that needs to go to the outside trash can gets tossed into that, as I empty it every night.

we've got some stupid $200 stainless can that takes these flimsy little white bags that I always end up putting inside a contractor bag that I fill with other trash before trash goes out
