We live in a rent house and we keep the Thermostat at 74. But during the day the temp will climb to 77 - 79 and the AC runs the whole time. I just got my electric bill from last month (June) and it's $324... for a one story. Is this normal or could something be wrong?

My current house was built in 2006, ~2200sqft. I let it go up to 78ish in the afternoon, but even with it at 100+ outside, my AC will pull the house down to 72* in 30 or so mins of run time when I change the temp. I would say your house is really inefficient or you have some issue with the HVAC.

Yeah I don't let it go up to 78, I have that bitch holding at 74 but it just can't keep it cool at all. It fucking sucks. And if we use the oven for dinner or lunch... pfffft game over.Comment
