Do you know a way I can vacuum my pool with both skimmer buckets not working? I need to vacuum to waste so I can keep my pool clean, while making a plan on how to fix the clogged and leaky lines. The pool is an in-ground 15k gallon, gunite pool.

both skimmer lines are clogged? Have you tried anything to get them unclogged?

Until you get at least 1 skimmer working you are going to be stuck using the portable pump...

Would only be clogged if the pipes are broke and maybe tree root in there. Have you tried sticking the water hose down the pipes.

How long before you think you can fix it. Maybe add a few extra pounds of shock while the pump is down.

One thing comes to mind. Did you make sure you have the valves open to the skimmer and main drains

He's bailed my ass out more than once...

That will work if you can do that and have access to a an extra pump. Ive seen a few on criagslist in Richardson. I think the guy re-furbs them.

I have tried the water hose and this drain king with no luck. the valves are where they should be

So I was able to get very little suction from the "clogged" side after some work, but no where near enough to vacuum. Would craigslist be the cheapest place to get a pool pump?
I am going to make the portable vac in the video, my pool looks like caca with this layer of algae on the bottom.

Why not just use your pump with flex hose into the pool

I have no way to connect my hose to the pump without cutting the pipe

This guy seems to deal with a lot of pool stuff. Don't know him and never bought from him, but Ive seen his stuff on craigs a lot. Buy it, use it, sell it.

They make a basket that attaches to a regular water hose you could use but I'm not sure how well it works.
