Has anyone done one? Not installed, a DIY. I am looking for the correct material for the base. I found what one yard is calling 5/8 chip and said it was crushed granite. I am planning a 4" compacted base, 1" of sand, and then the pavers.

You just need an Aggregate base. Mixture of chipped rock (usually granite) and dirt. Compact it, either by renting a gas powered compactor, or by hand, which would be a lot of work and not as well compacted.
Buy a couple of 1" diameter pvc or conduit and lay on top of the aggregate base equally spaced, then poor sand on top. The pvc/conduit is used as a depth gauge when screeding the sand. Ensures the same thickness throughout the pad. Once screeded, remove the pvc/conduit and fill in the void with sand and trowel smooth. Then get to laying pavers! Cover with joint sand and sweep into all cracks between pavers, and you're done!"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

I am having trouble finding someone who can/will deliver what I need this weekend. I have everything dug, sprayed, and covered in weed cloth (fuck the good stuff is expensive). Does anyone have a dump trailer or dump truck and want to take a trip out to Greenville this weekend? Lol
