  • Side yard flooding

I am at my wits end, fucking One Source (cable/internet company) has been flooding my fucking yard now every day since we had all this rain. They have utility boxes in neighbors yards, and when the ground water gets high enough in them, they have a pu,p that kicks on, and the water floods straight outa the box and floods the shit outa my yard. This is happening on both sides, and again today, they both kicked on and BAM, instant flood. Sunday I could barely mow it was still so muddy. And of course, this is right where the gate is to go into the back yard.

Anyone have any suggestions? I have a french drain about 2 feet from this location, but it just can't keep up with the amount of water they pump out. Seriously, it is like a small river running down the side of the yard at times.

Pic one, the box that pumps water out (this is after it stopped, but the base of the box is where the water flows out). It runs over the rock retaining wall and sounds like a mini waterfall. Both sides of my damn yard are getting hit with this!

Pic 2, my side yard by the gate. it is ALWAYS muddy!!!

I would use larger basin drains with solid pipe to divert and pull water away from area over traditional French drains.

One Source actually contacted me today, and after explaining the situation, then emailing him pic's and a video, he is having an Engineer contact me so they can try to help!

Here's the video of it leaking the other day

Interesting situation, hopefully they fix it for you. This very well could be an indication of a more serious problem for them down the line, like a blockage or something. I would never imagine water coming out of one of those boxes like that.

I didnt know those boxes had some type of drain to help drain ground water
