or something around that size. how cheap can something like this be done? talking building only for now with the eventual goal of finishing it out. once finished would either play host to my wifes framing equipment or would be turned into a man cave...

wouldn't a metal building be a lot harder to finish out to actually be able to use during summer months?

What type of foundation are you planning ? can you weld? You can build a steel building cheaper than a kit from Mueller if you can weld.

I want to build the same for a workshop in the backyard. Was initially going to just put it on blocks but thinking of actually doing a slab now.

i will probably regret it later but the main reason i am wanting to go with the float design instead of pad is for easy of movement if i ever need to get rid of it. it'll be sitting next to my pool and i have thought about maybe doing it as a pool/guest house/man cave assuming the wife doesn't take it over for her picture framing.

Figure half the cost of those is materials, so that will give you a ballpark on what it will be to build one.
Sounds like you live in town. Make sure you check codes and if you are in an HOA, check their rules too. We all know how pita the hoa can be
