    This.
My boss lives in a house built in like 1920, on the Colonial golf course. He had all new windows put in, they look original, but are super efficient. Said he noticed a huge difference this winter.

...or, try some tint on them to see if it makes a useful difference.

I'm not interested in arguing the merits of modern glass, I'm interested in a recommended window tinter, thanks.

I said I don't want to use box store tint because it's fucking junk. Did you not understand that I am looking for professional products and installation?

I would hate to see you spend a bunch of money for nothing, but since you are dead set on it, knock yourself out man. Ill go fuck myself.

This was in reference to ordering triple pane windows with tinted glass. I'm not sure how accurate that is, just relaying what he said.
I have two sets of French doors on the back of my house facing West. I was in the living room, and the sun was going down when the guy tinted them. The difference in temperature was amazing when he put the piece on the second door. I put all new windows in our house and sun screens. I could tell a bigger difference when the two doors where tinted then when all the front windows got changed. Of course they face the west and were not shaded, but that stuff really works. I used a guy in Desoto that does buildings all over the place.
