  • Lets see those decks...

I know some of you recently remodeled your back deck or patio areas, i am having the chance to start fresh on mine due to the collapse of the cover!

SO curious how all of you guys have your patio/deck setup!

I am thinking two or three tiered platforms made of wood for my new one. One with fire pit, one cooking area, and one larger outdoor dining area...

    Post them up!

Here's one from when I was buying the house, all I've got. The lower deck keeps the grill smoker and a picnic table, middle has just a couple outdoor chairs, and the upper level (which I'd like to screen in) has 4 more chairs and a hammock.

Decks always turn shitty after a while. I'm far too lazy to get out there and sand them down and redo them every 5 years.

Not a deck, but we are planning a 20x20 patio. We need to re-grade out back yard and I figure why not do it all at once

We were talking about remodeling out patio area before this collapse happened. Here I believe are our new plans. All of this will not all happen at once. Probably get the main deck refinished, rebuild, patio cover, and also build the other deck additions. Then slowly turn it into outdoor kitchen.

Firepit will either be stoned area, or a large gas pit, not sure yet...

                          Pros cons to this setup?

That's what I've done at least once a year, and mine still looks fine after 5 years.
