  • Dirt hookup?

Need 10-20 yards of cleanish dirt to fill holes and grade parts of the yard. Anyone have the hookup? I have called around and everyone seems to want $350-400 for 10 yards. I remember helping my dad out 5 years ago and it was closer to $200/10yds.

I can't remember the name of it, but there is a place on the west side of 35W, north of the track before you get to Ponder that has a sign out front advertising free fill and they load your truck for you. Seems too good to be true but it's worth looking in to. Maybe someone else knows the name.

Fill dirt is free most of the time, because it's shitty dirt full of trash and devoid of nutrients. He needs better quality dirt than that it seems, with his intended use.

That's got to be it. Probably why the shit is free. Can't even give it away.

Don't know where you are at but I've been using the dyno dirt in denton. Now they don't deliver but I've seen that dump truck people will haul a load pretty resonable if you are with a certain distance.

Have you tried calling a local pool building company?

They have to haul off large amounts of dirt all the time. I know of one in Plano with a sign offering free fill dirt.

Thanks guys for the comments... I need somewhat clean dirt that is not full of weeds and trash like lots of "free fill dirt" that is out there. That stuff is good fro lifting an area a couple feet for a foundation but not what you want to put your grass on.
