Read a few ways online about using a guitar string to try to reuse the mirror but later on a lot said it ended up cracking. I want to try to reuse the mirror in a workout room. Has anyone ever done it and actually been able to reuse the mirror with no cracks?

Removing bathroom mirror, anyway to salvage it?

I had luck with a smallish one, but the main bathroom mirror was much larger, and broke pretty easily. They glued that MoFo on like it was a heat shield on the space shuttle. I heard you can "try" to heat it up with a blow drier a little and run fishing line/guitar string behind it too, but good luck, most of the time, the glue they use will not budge. If you're lucky, the drywall will peel up and you can salvage the mirror that way, but then have to get it off the mirror before using it again.
Good luck, and tape it up in case it does break!
