Anyone have them? Pros? Con's? Thinking of getting some for the kitchen... My house was built in 1890 so I think it would look great with the style.

Had several over the years. I would recommend waxing the surface to keep it from staining.

Ikea has some cheap ones thinking about doing it above washing machine as a counter/shelf.

I have a couple 8' sections from Ikea I was planning on doing my island with but will now be using them for a mudroom bench and a hallway desk. Ikea has the best "deal" if you want some premade ones. They get expensive quick. We looked for a DIY walnut blank that was 4x7 for the island and it was $1200. Two ikea numerar beech counter top sections was less than $400.

Ikea had the ones I was looking at. Found another place that had walnut slabs for $350 a slab but wife wants the lighter shade anyways. Ill get some pics up once I get it looking how I'd like. It's basically a 4 square with a bedroom coming off of the front side.

Thanks. The kitchen wasn't kept original and I'm wanting to get some of the old look back.

Just think, Wyatt Earp himself could have sat on that porch.

I dig the shit out of old homes like that. I love just driving down a old street in forney and looking at the old mansions from way back when.
