  • Quick bathroom vanity removal question

So got top off and was about to pull the vanity off but someone kept the back panel of the cabinets while all the how to guides I read online dont mention one. Even the ones I bought to replace these dont have it.

I plan to reusing the cabinets in the garage as storage space but dont know what to do about back panel. Should I cut it out or break it to get it off or is there a trick of some sort to removing the vanity?

    A few options.

Pull the pvc pipe that is turned down and cut bigger holes for the water valves and remove.

Remove/destroy back panel and replace it if you plan to re-use the cabinet and need a back. You can pick up some 1/8" panel at Home Depot.

Remove pvc, turn off the water to the house, cut off/remove water shut offs, pull vanity and install new ones, replace shut offs and turn the water back on

Im going with option 3 of just cutting the plumbing out and redoing it... but honestly, that vanity cabinet is cheap enough at lowes that I would just buy a cabinet for the garage and skip the vanity

Ended up ripping out the vanity and breaking half of it I couldn't see it but apparantly the builder thought it would be a good idea to use liquidnails/superglue on the corner of the vanity.

And I got like 20 screw holes guess whoever installed this thing missed the stud everytime.

It is pretty common for them to miss the stud, several times. They measure once and then go poking holes. They figure it is hidden by the cabinet, no big deal! I have witnessed a few of our installers do that!

          Liquid nails.....not so much
