I'd attach a squeaky toy to the ceiling.

The high lift garage basically opens and goes straight up to the ceiling before going back into the garage. I'll get a picture of the garage door open tonight.

            Edit: Yup that's it.

What model car lift is that?!

Oh and is the opener designed with the chained motor and sprocket at each end of the garage up top?! If so then that's pretty cool. Not to mention pricey. Awesome job btw.

Edit: ninja posting going on in here! LOL

I couldn't see the door in your pics.... I'm thinking for a 2-post, as long as the post locations are out from under the footprint of the open door, I'll be fine. Pull the car in, close the door and then lift the car. Although, this would prevent you from lifting with the door open.... (or at least only lifting to a certain height.)

It's a cable and the motor is attached to the shaft/spring setup mounted to the wall. The opener is wall mount much like commercial environments.

Yeah that was my problem. I couldn't get the car raised enough with the door open to get the other car underneath the lift. This is primarily intended for storage. I don't work on the cars much anymore they just sit because I suck.

Ceiling height in the new house should be around 10'2", so I'm looking at a 2-post that has the crossover wiring on the bottom and a total height of around 112". I may end up having to do the highlift door just to dodge the garage opener.....ugh...more money! LOL!

Cool. Retrofit using the same door? Shoot me a PM with ballpark $.

You will if you want the car on the lift with the door open.

Maybe I'll just do a manual highlift on the single door. That should be fairly inexpensive to do right
