Glad to have the rain but apparently there's a small leak now. It's where part of the second story meets the first at a corner and I guess water pooled there for a short time. I guess if the rain was heavy, that pool lasted longer than usual and some of the exterior wood paneling is rotted on the bottom.
My plan is to completely remove the rotted exterior wood and replace. After I remove it though I want to examine the underside of it to make sure nothing there is rotted through. If all looks ok, I plan to slab a generous amount of roofing cement in the area then nail up the new wood. I'll also replace the insulation inside that got wet. Anything else I should look for?
