Mine will be ran from the box in my garage approximately 50 ft to my patio. What is a fair price for this?

I know we've been PMing, but I'll put this on here just for anyone else's benefit that is considering it. I've got an old house with a full panel, so mine is a little more complicated than just running the wire, but I've had estimates anywhere from $600 to $2800... Yes, two THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED dollars. I guess the guy wanted to take a trip to Europe this summer on just one job.

I had one run the full length of a house on a (I think) 50 amp breaker (provided by me). It was 750. This was 8 years ago as well though.
I've learned electrical ain't cheap and a lot of the costs are materials.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Jeezus christ is right....who the fuck did you call?
I did this EXACT job for my brother in law and sister a few months ago and charged them 250 + materials.
Is your HT a 240v or 120v? Is there room in your panel for either a 2 pole 240v breaker or a single pole breaker?
PM me and I'll give you a FAIR price.

This was for a 240V hot tub.

Buy spas, and hot tubs straight from Aqua Living Factory Outlets. Locations all over the country and experts to help you find the perfect tub!
From the guys I've talked to, a breaker needs to be "bridged?" and/or have a secondary box added. I'm not great with electrical terminology. I've got a guy that was supposed to be here at 8 this morning. Still waiting... Second guy I've had no show, so if this is something you do and want to make some money, LMK.

Well, the guy showed up finally and is working on it now. I hope this is the last time my house needs any serious electrical work. Glad I have a reliable contractor for almost anything else. I've been trying to get this thing hooked up so I can help my back out for about three weeks and it's been annoying as hell dealing with flakes.
