  • Need flagstone put down.

Does anyone know who does this. I have the 1" flagstone, need it set over my concrete patio. 225' feet 15x15. What is a reasonable charge per ' foot?

You're going to just put it on top of concrete that is already level? If so, just mix up some thin cement and go to town. It's easy, no sense in paying someone to do that simple of a job!

I could do it, but it would look like ass. A mason would make it look 1,000 times better.

it really isn't that hard. I did it at our old house and I think it turned out pretty good. I had zero experience. I even built the area up, it dropped 7 inches from front to back, and made it perfectly level. All you need to "fit" weird rocks is a hand held sledge hammer and a large chisel. They break pretty easy along the line you want. Just lay them out in a pattern before you set them, large, medium, small, and then you can easily pick waht you need to fit.

Don't have any good picks of it, but here is one I found.

In Keller, however I am going with slate tile now. Flagstone looks like it will be too expensive to do the way I want it done.
