I'm going to start building the riser for the back row this weekend. It will be 14" high, so viewing should be just about perfect.

The back row will be 14" higher once I finish the riser.

I had an outlet installed when we built the house. I installed the moulding and the led lights are laying behind it.

I built the riser today. I still need to skin it and lay the surface. I'll be wrapping the sides with the same carpet as the floor, and the top is getting dark laminate. Should have it all finished out by tomorrow.

Now what colors do movie theaters paint the walls... red? Can't remember. Might do well to imitate their design, as its probably geared towards better viewing.

Movie theaters are dark colors to reduce reflection.

I've been looking at colors for some time. It really hasn't been too much of an issue. My wife and I did manage to agree on red for the small wall with the Gone With The Wind poster. We haven't agreed on which color red though.

It's a process.
