  • Tile removal machine rental question

Anyone ever used the Edco Tile SharkTS-8-75L. Our tool rental place has one in stock. It says for tile no larger than 4". Ours is larger but i am thinking of just using a sledge to crack them all. Rental place guy says it can handle anything though. Curious if any of you have personal experience with this particular or other walk behind scrappers.

I havent used one but I see pros using them on the John Bridge forum. One company has a riding one. All I know is that it will be a hell of a lot better to try that and waste money than to try and do it with a hammer. Even a rotary hammer would suck

we have done two bathrooms with just a 4' air chisel with a 4" spade on it. Works wells just very very slow!!! looking to speed up the process and take about 1300' tile up in a weekend. Ride on top are several hundred a day to rent. The smaller one suppose to still do 50-100' an hour which is quick than you can vacuum and clean it up anyway. Just trying to find someone who has used one before. Ill check john bridge

I used the big harbor freight rotary with a flat chisel blade with awesome results. I had it anyway for drilling anchors. I think it was less than $70 with coupon. I hate renting shit unless it costs a ton or I'll never use again.
