  • weekend workbench

Well all in all took me about 5 hours with stops and when i could get the chance to make the cuts and run to lowes for supplies when the baby went to sleep. I think it turned out really good for being my first time doing this. I didnt draw up any plans and just went off how i wanted it to look like.
I'm not done yet i want to figure out how to build a shelf that connects to the smaller one and put a worklight under it to shine down. This is a beginners bench so dont judge to much, but i am damn happy with how it came out!

Thanks man! I need to save up some more money and get a shed to go in the backyard that would free up so much more space as well!

thats a good idea. I was going to go to lowes and pick up an hand sander to make it smooth. I caught my fingers with a couple of splinters, that shit hurts..

Yeah, break the edges over with a palm sander or router if you own one, also brush that top with some danish oil. it's super easy and will look nice and protect the wood.

I built a 8' and 6' bench over thanksgiving break, give me a minute and i can get a pic or two uploaded.
